We announce the publication of Archer Hotel Capital B.V.’s third public ESG report which shows our ambition and commitment to building one of the most sustainable luxury portfolios in Europe.
Key achievements include:
- Doubling the number of hotels with long term community investment programs in place
- 39% decrease in Scope 1&2 location-based greenhouse gas intensity versus 2019 baseline (25% in 2022)
- Increase in electricity from renewable sources from 72% in 2022 to 94% in 2023
- All hotels now recycling food waste
- An excellent net promoter score among hotel managers of +65
- Renovation of Marriott Brussels and conversion to franchise under Archer Hotel Management (AHM), led to completion of a plethora of ESG projects resulting in Green Key certification
- Regaining a GRESB 5 star rating
In 2024 Archer is completing net zero carbon audits across the portfolio to form asset specific net zero carbon pathways and investment plans. The results of these are already being factored into our renovation projects. Continuing focus is placed on the sustainability of major renovations underway and on increasing our operational ESG engagement and training under AHM. Archer is also developing an action plan to meet future ESG regulatory requirements such as the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
