January 2023 is a watershed moment for the iconic Sheraton Stockholm. The new year ushers in the high-end, central Stockholm hotel’s 52nd birthday, and the appointment of a new General Manager (GM), Elin Roquet.
Elin Roquet is the first Swedish GM of the Sheraton Stockholm and brings with her a wealth of local market knowledge having been GM at Nordic Hotels & Resorts, The Sparrow Hotel and Scandic Hotels.
“I’ve worked in just about every department and role a hotel has. Except the kitchen! Nobody wants me in there.” commented Elin. “It’s a privilege and hugely exciting to lead Sheraton Stockholm through the next stage of its development. And to work with Archer, who have shown a dynamic and forward-thinking approach to hotel management.”
First opened in 1971, and an established player on the Stockholm hospitality scene, Sheraton Stockholm’s birthday is an opportunity to reconnect with its Nordic origins.

Under Elin Roquet’s leadership, Sheraton Stockholm will embark on a fundamental repositioning. All 460 rooms, food and beverage outlets, conference and public areas will be reviewed and upgraded in line with a new design philosophy.
